Dear Rusty,
Permit me to thank you once again for your continued generosity and incredible efforts that have allowed Catholic Charities to purchase two new trucks for our Emergency Food programs. I have enclosed the details regarding the purchase of those vehicles and the specs for each.

Below please find information on how your donation allows Catholic Charities to expand our critical food services to the needy in our care:

Isuzu Box Truck

The Food Distribution Hub was established in June 2016 in the South Bronx Center. To date, the Hub has received over 300,000 lbs of food and re- distributed it to 28 participating programs. The addition of the truck will permit us to work more efficiently with partners -- City Harvest, Goya and the National Supermarket Association. The truck will enable us to pick up greater quantities of bulk food such as produce and frozen meats. This will let us to make "just in time" deliveries to our participating programs and allow these smaller food programs access to food deliveries on a schedule that maximizes their limited storage space and avoids food spoilage.

Ford Transit Van

Newly Donated Van

Issues of food insecurity and poverty are of great concern for many of the residents on the North Shore of Staten Island, Our renewed focus will be to work closely with the staff of Catholic Charities of Staten Island to expand their food services program. The Ford Transit Van will replace the existing mobile food pantry and will allow the van to negotiate the narrow streets of the North Shore while still providing much needed support to the underserved communities in Staten Island.

I am so grateful for your friendship and kindness. Together, Catholic Charities and the Rusty Staub Foundation continue to feed the hungry in our care. Best wishes for a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year.

Sincerely,
Monsignor Kevin Sullivan
